Environmental Chemistry: Interaction, Detection, Treatment of Emerging Chemicals
This special issue covers all aspects of environmental chemistry effects of pollutants on humans and the environment, their detection and treatment in all media, i.e., air, soil, and water, including marine pollution in addition to water and wastewater. However, we expect a concentration of organic pollutants both volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, e.g. persistent organic pollutants (POPs), because legacy POPs are still today’s problem even those of earliest use, such as PCBs, while their replacements are shown to be creating accumulating burden. This issue takes on occurrence, human exposure and health risks, environmental impact, remediation, treatment, and the fate of such legacy, current, and emerging organic compounds.
